Tribus 2024 roundup

Introduction

As we wrap up 2024, team Tribus have been reflecting on a fantastic year of wins, achievements, partnerships and growth. In this month's newsletter, we look back at our year and highlight just how much effort our team has put into 2024.

Tribus Digital’s Recognition and Awards 2024

Earlier this year, Tribus was shortlisted for a UK Digital Excellence Award. This award kicked off the year by recognising the innovative bespoke platform Tribus built that drove progress across the construction industry.

“This recognition highlighted the groundbreaking work we delivered,” said Adam Spry, Director at Tribus. “It was an honour to be part of something that pushed the industry forward.”

It was a proud moment for our team and kicked off 2024 with a bang.

Best Use of Technology - Construction Awards

In April, Tribus was named a finalist at the #ConstructionNewsAwards for the digital product ‘The Knowledge Hub.’

The Knowledge Hub was a first-to-market web-based knowledge library, providing up-to-date insights into construction projects.

Designed as a comprehensive resource for the work-winning community, it consolidates business-wide data, testimonials, and expert-approved information in one easy-to-access platform.

The platform delivered a 30% efficiency saving while improving bid quality. It provided customers with more reliable data for procurement decisions and streamlined the information-gathering process for bid teams, reducing stress and enhancing well-being.

Beyond work-winning, the Knowledge Hub became a valuable tool for employees across the business, helping them learn more about the company.

Continued Success at the Digital Impact Awards 2024

The accolades didn’t stop there. In August, Tribus’ ongoing work on the Knowledge Hub for Willmott Dixon earned nominations in three categories at the Digital Impact Awards 2024:

  • Winners - Best Innovation, recognising creativity in overcoming challenges or achieving objectives in new ways.

  • Winners - Best Intranet, awarding companies that excel in efficiently informing their internal audience using innovative platforms.

  • Highly Commended - Best Use of Digital in the Property, Construction & Facilities Management Sector

These awards validate our efforts in creating bespoke software like the Knowledge Hub and reaffirm our commitment to delivering top-tier solutions while embracing emerging technologies.

Future Awards and Recognition

As we step into the new year, we’re not slowing down. In February, we’ll join some of the best businesses in Yorkshire at the Yorkshire Business of the Year Awards, where Tribus is a finalist in the ‘Innovation’ category.

Why do we do this?

Our achievements aren’t just about celebrating the incredible work of our digital team, they’re also about showcasing the amazing projects we undertake with our clients and partners. None of this would be possible without the fantastic network around us. When we win, our clients win, and that’s what drives us to keep pushing boundaries.

Celebrating 8 Years of Growth at Tribus!

In the year Tribus celebrated its 8th anniversary, Mark Spilsbury (Technical Director) and Nathan Parks (Creative Director) joined the board.

We welcomed new employees across all teams and launched a new service area: Digital Marketing with Oliver Blackburn (Head of Digital Marketing) leading the new division, offering clients SEO & PPC.

Annual Tribus Strategy Day

In July, we held the annual Tribus Strategy Day at the Everyman Cinema, reflecting on the successes of the past year and setting our mission for the future.

The day allowed each service area to highlight the bespoke digital work happening across industries like construction, fintech, charity, and retail.

Senior Developer Chris Richards introduced the new Digital Process Improvement team, focused on streamlining workflows, while Creative Director Nathan Parks showcased motion projects that help clients simplify complex processes.

We also shared client feedback, celebrated team successes, and recognised outstanding contributions from Shane, Dan, Oliver, Ian, Richard, and Elliot.

Tribus Focuses on Sustainability

This year, we continued our work with green businesses seeking tech partners with industry expertise. In 2024 we continued to provide sustainable digital support, including software development, website builds, and eco-friendly green hosting.

Additionally, we offered motion graphic support, helping our clients effectively communicate their sustainable business models to their customers.

As part of our commitment to green tech, we also attended the Leeds Digital Festival’s Green Tech Gathering to connect with tech professionals who also focused on sustainability. At Tribus, sustainability remained a key priority as we collaborated with climate-conscious clients.

Attending industry events like these allowed us to step outside the office, engage in meaningful discussions about sustainable ideas, and contribute to the tech community’s progress toward a greener future.

The Launch of SuperNutrio & Debra

As part of our round-up, we wanted to highlight some standout website projects.

First, we partnered with DEBRA, a charity supporting over 3,000 individuals affected by EB. Though only two years old, their existing website was held back by an outdated CMS and limited functionality. We worked on a full redesign, delivering a modern, user-friendly platform aligned with their needs.

We also collaborated with St. Helen’s Farm on their latest innovation, SuperNutrio, a protein-rich cow’s milk product. Building on last year’s successful website launch for St. Helen’s Farm, we created a responsive site featuring a store locator to help health-conscious customers find the product. It even became a favourite in our office fridge!

Another Successful Tribus Christmas Project

Each year, the Tribus team creates a special Christmas web app to spread holiday cheer. This season, we introduced Festive Fables, a unique app that blends AI with creative design to craft personalised Christmas stories.

The response has been incredible, with over 3,000 stories brought to life. Festive Fables has also earned recognition online, securing website of the day honours from global design platforms like FWA and CSSWinner

These awards celebrate the dedication and creativity we pour into every project.

Giving back to the Community

Throughout the year Tribus continues to give back to charities and support our local community. This year we supported Flourishing Families who deliver over 170 food hampers and 68 stockings this Christmas to some of the families they work with.

We also paused to honour those who sacrificed so much for our freedom. The team sold poppies to support the Royal British Legion, raising funds to assist veterans and honour those who served with courage. It was our way of expressing gratitude and ensuring their sacrifices are remembered.
